St. Gertrude is ranked among the top schools in the Diocese of Corpus Christi.  St. Gertrude's pupils score an average of 1.2 years above their current grade level on national standardized tests.  The students also have an excellent performance record in community contest and events.

Teachers meet certification requirements as dictated by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department.

Curriculum

St. Gertrude's curriculum unifies the prescriptions of the Texas State Board of Education Rules for Curriculum and the mandates of the Diocese of Corpus Christi Curriculum Guide.  Special offerings include art, computer, music, and Spanish.  Enrichment material is available at each grade level.  Daily religious education emphasizes values, self-discipline, doctrine and liturgy.  Students attend Mass two times weekly and assist in preparing the liturgy.
